Discovery of Benzene's Structure.....

Benzene's Structure was discovered by Friedrich August Kekule in 1865..

The Interesting fact is how he discovered the structure...

One afternoon in the year of 1865 Kekule was tired of working in the lab all the day and he fell asleep in the laboratory  . In his dream two snakes or dragons one catching the tail of the other to form a hexagon like structure ... Kekule suddenly woke up and drew the structure of a hexagon with alternative double bonds which turned out to be the best structure for benzene....


       He Worked all the day and he fell asleep accidentally to find the structure of benzene.... Sleep after Work is good.. but Work after sleep is not going to help you in life....
